Alyssa has known since the age of 15 that she wanted to be a fashion designer. For Christmas all she could dream of was having her very own sewing machine. With the gift from her mother and grandmother, her dreams came true. For hours upon hours Alyssa would sit in her room with remnants of fabric and create one of a kinds with out any guidance and proved some people just have natural talent when it comes to something they love.
Growing up she would ask herself, " I think I could make that better."
So in high school she took any class possible that related an interest in art or fashion. This lead her to many art shows that helped get Alyssa's name and voice out there and allowed her to have confidence.
Studying Fashion Design at The Illinois Institute of Art earning a bachelors degree is only the start. While being there for three years Alyssa has earned enough scholarships to pay off her tuition and continues to grab every chance she gets to learn more.
Alyssa's 2016 Collections, Fiercely Living on the Edge and Punk is Not Dead were rockin' Ai's Fashion show in May of 2017. She also showcased her collection to Fashion Group International and was lucky enough to be selected as 2017's FGI Scholarship Winner.
Alyssa's collections Hero, and Flowing Midnight were showcased at The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago's last fashion show in 2018. She graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago in December 2018 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Fashion Design.
Her collection Flowing Midnight was also showcased in 2019's Chicago Fashion week as well as Driehaus Design Intuitive Show. She continues her skills by selling accessories and handmade items on her Etsy account while still working on clothing she intends to sell.
